Honors & Awards

BC&A has participated on the design teams as the civil engineer for the following projects that have been recognized by the Excellence in Development Steering Committee which is composed of representatives from 14 organizations: American Institute of Architects, Middle Tennessee Chapter; American Planning Association; American Society of Landscape Architects; Construction Specifications Institute; Greater Nashville Regional Council; International Interior Design Association; Metropolitan Planning Commission; Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce; Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency; the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers/Consulting Engineers of Tennessee; and CREW.

The purpose of the Awards Program is to recognize high-quality development in the region, raise public awareness of quality development and stimulate communication among those committed to quality development in Middle Tennessee.

In addition, the Urban Land Institute held its first annual recognition program in 2009 wherein Barge Cauthen & Associates, Inc. was recognized for three of the nine projects that were nominated for award.
