MISSION STATEMENT

Barge Cauthen & Associates, Inc., is dedicated to providing professional services on a partner-principal level involvement in each of our respective projects, to ensure the highest quality service to our clients. We are not concerned with becoming the largest or most diverse, but simply the best.

HISTORY OF FIRM

Dan Barge III and John Cauthen founded Barge Cauthen & Associates, Inc., (BC&A) in January of 1994 to provide civil engineering, architecture, planning, and management services to public and private sector clients. Dan Barge III, a licensed civil engineer, has 30 years of experience in civil engineering, specializing in site planning and development of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. John Cauthen, a certified planner and public housing manager, has 33 years of experience in planning, specializing in providing planning and management services to over 40 public housing agencies across Tennessee.

BC&A was founded on the principle of maintaining direct participation in each project by a principal of the firm to ensure the highest quality of service to our clients. The result of this foundation has proved quite successful. We are an information-based, task-oriented firm, driven by professional associates with a clearly-focused mission: to provide a cost-effective design focusing on our clients' vision and development needs.

In the 16 years that BC&A has been operating, we have participated in the design and/or planning of over 5,000 projects in Tennessee. Eight-four percent of our 2008 revenue was attributed to repeat business giving us a strong indication of our clients' satisfaction that reinforces our belief in the founding principle of direct participation.
